This time, what I ordered was the Hiramaki Berk San Gen Pork Shabu-Shabu Course!!
First up, the appetizers!
The beautiful Ryukyu glass, isn’t it? Top left: Pickled island shallots Top right: Mozuku vinegar Bottom left: Sea grapes Right: Ponzu sauce
The pickled island shallots have a light bitterness and a refreshing vinegary taste, making them very easy to eat. The mozuku vinegar has a nice crunch, and the pickling is just right! The sea grapes burst with a pop when you chew them, and the texture is amazing—so satisfying!
The moment I saw them, I was sure this was going to be delicious! (lol)
It seems that the owner has a special focus, as there are two types of course menus at Kamimae.
This one, Hiramaki Berk San Gen Pork Shabu-Shabu, and Kamimae Agu Shabu-Shabu (Kinbu Agu).
I’d definitely love to try them both! ((´∀`))
Next up, the arrival of the green onions.
“With a bold move, I threw in about half (lol), and it looks like you’re supposed to simmer and enjoy the shabu-shabu.

The crunchy, refreshing texture is unforgettable.
The secret, proprietary broth is truly amazing!
And now, finally…
Finally, the long-awaited shabu-shabu!
There’s some scum floating on the surface, so it doesn’t look great (´;ω;`), but even the scum is delicious (lol).
When you try it… the sweetness of the pork is incredible! It’s the best pork I’ve ever had.
Also, by dipping the meat into the broth, the flavors from the meat mix into the broth, making it even more delicious!
I really want everyone to taste how amazing this is ( ´∀` ).
For the finale, you can choose between Okinawa soba noodles or rice to add. It’s up to your preference!
I added the soba noodles and ended up drinking the broth all up (lol).
This place has become extremely popular recently, so be sure to make an early reservation when you visit.
